Wide Planks
Wide planks, also commonly referred to as shiplap planks, are a style of decor that create a distinctive contemporary look. It infuses a classic beach look through the use of deep V-grooves.
At Elite Trimworks, they are created using primed MDF shiplap planks that have an extra wide V-groove. They can be installed to any wall simply on their own, but it’s not recommended. Instead, wide planks pair well with baseboards (bottom rails) and/or crown moulding (top rails). The rails are notched to ensure that the planks fit in seamlessly.
We also offer Vertical Shiplap Wainscoting kits, which allow for easy installation as each kit comes with the right amount of planks and rails in order to create the look.
