Wood Ceiling Beams

CEILING BEAMS - PAINT GRADE WOOD

The MDF panels used to make our smooth wood beams are lock mitered, just like our wood columns. They can be made in any length and any width. Being hollow, they are lightweight, easy to install, and ideal for making exposed wood trusses. This look is reminiscent of the style and décor you would find on the ceilings of an old farmhouse or tropical coastal homes and cottages. They can be used as a formal or informal architectural enhancement.

The Beams hide the joints on the sheets or planks. Our Ceiling Beams are made from MDF that is mitered and precision-cut to size, making them simple to install with a few basic tools.

Tips on Finishing the edges where the top of the beam meets the ceiling: This can be done in a variety of ways which include the use of Crown Moldings, Shoe Molding, or Quarter Round; once again, this choice will depend on the size and depth of the coffered beams. Just caulk the Beams in place or leave the shadow line unfinished for a more rustic look.
