STAIN GRADE, HARDWOOD BEADBOARD KIT

Our Hardwood Stain Grade Bayside Beadboard is made from "A" grade Veneer Core. In recent years, the wood industry has moved away from manufacturing Beadboard from solid hardwoods and has moved towards using Veneer Core or MDF laminated with a hardwood veneer of the desired wood species. The reasoning behind this is that most Beadboard sheets are thin, and hardwoods tend to warp too much when cut this thin. The Veneer Core is more stable and less conducive to warping when applied to a solid, stable MDF or Veneer core.

Our Bayside, Stain Grade Bayside Beadboard kits are made from "A" grade: Red Oak, Maple, or Cherry veneer Core. In recent years the wood industry has moved away from manufacturing Beadboard from solid hardwoods and has moved towards using Veneer Core or MDF laminated with a hardwood veneer of the desired wood species.

Each kit includes enough material to cover 8 running feet of wall with a 40" finished height. The kit consists of 1- 8ft length of top rail; lower rail/baseboard combination; a cap trim; and shoe trim. Packed separately, includes two ⅜" thick beaded sheets pre-cut 31 ½" X 48" that match up perfectly. The overall height with the rails is 40", and beads on the board are cut 2" on center. Both the Bottom and Top rails are notched on the bottom and the top, respectively, so the sheets will fit into them.

This also makes it easier to finish the BeadBoard. If you want a lower finished height, cut the sheet down to the appropriate height; always take the lower and upper rails into account when doing your calculations.
