Tapered columns, less than 6ft, are often installed on pedestals. However, taller columns (over 6ft) are often mounted directly on the concrete floor. When installing the wrap on the concrete floor, we provide an additional PVC Sub-Base. This additional support helps to withstand impacts such as snow shovels and foot traffic.

Installation Tip:

Begin with installing the shaft in the desired position (see installation tips for tapered PVC wraps). Once this is done, screw in the PVC Sub-Base (comes in four pieces), around the base of the column shaft with additional Tapcon Screws (provided). Finally glue and pin the cornice base in place, as shown above, leaving no gaps. Caulk all seams to finish the column.
