HH-66 Vinyl Cement is the world’s most effective PVC vinyl adhesive. It works underwater, sets in minutes, and holds fast at extreme temperatures. It’s waterproof, and it bonds with just a single application. HH-66 is trusted by experts in industries like Cellular PVC Mouldings and Vinyl Trim. It provides superior adhesion, and its superb quality has been providing its users with peace of mind for decades.

HH-66 is a Medium-bodied, slow-setting PVC cement for cellular PVC. It is available in various containers and is recommended for bonding PVC to PVC only. For bonding PVC to anything else, we suggest any construction adhesive like "PL Premium" or "No More Nails."

If local codes permit, HH-66 can be used without Primer on non-pressure systems. It is NSF listed. The item can not ship via Air freight of any kind. HH-66 dries quickly with a very strong yet flexible bond. It is not affected by weather and temperature extremes and is highly resistant to oil, fuel, grease, and many other chemicals. Application is by brush or roller. Dried films may be reactivated to the tacky state by high heat or solvent.

Tips on Assembling PVC Columns and other Cellular PVC products

After testing various manufacturers' adhesives, we selected HH-66 cement as the best product to assemble PVC products.  The adhesive is very similar to what is used for black ABS drain pipe, with the main difference being a much longer setting and curing time of about 1 hour at 70 F, or 21 C.  The lower curing time allows room for error during the installation process. We also recommend the use of mechanical fasteners for the installation of heavier columns or components.  Once the glue has cured, the parts become fused and will not break apart.

HH-66 cement is recommended only for adhering PVC to PVC, not to any other surface. To adhere PVC to other building materials, we suggest a construction adhesive like PL Premium or No-more-Nails, which can easily be found at big box stores.

Tips for assembling PVC in Cold Temperatures

The colder it is, the longer the setting time becomes.  Where other products do not work at cold temperatures, HH-66 works very well in cold temperatures, in fact it has been used on the Alaska Pipeline.

Tip: Store the adhesive and the PVC in a warm place before starting work and allow for a longer setting time before removing any tape or temporary supports.

HH-66 will freeze in very cold weather. Due to the concentration of solvents, it usually freezes to a slush consistency. This will not affect the cement's performance. If it does freeze, simply store it at room temperature until it regains its original viscosity, similar to maple syrup.

HH-66 can be used in very cold temperatures (- 34 degrees C or -1), however it will take longer for the solvents to evaporate. The surface should feel tacky. Be aware that although the effectiveness of the cement will be good, it will start to freeze depending on the severity of the cold and the length of exposure to the cold.
